Canyon X, mid-morning, flat on my back on the canyon floor looking straight up. The camera saw more than my eye did: over a thirty-second exposure, light bouncing between the walls accumulated into the violets that sit against the fired orange above. Standing there, it read mostly as warm rock and shadow.
Canyon X is a slot on Navajo land near Page, Arizona — quieter than its famous neighbours, and narrow enough that light reaches the floor only for a short window each day. What the sandstone records is time: cross-bedded dunes laid down some 190 million years ago, then cut by flash floods into these fluted, wave-like walls. The long exposure is doing something similar on a shorter scale — collecting light the eye can't hold.
Standard Acrylic — The violet-to-orange transition is the whole image, and acrylic holds that gradient without banding, light through the panel deepening both ends of it. Glossy (OP3) is the high-gloss option, maximum depth and vibrancy with premium UV filtering; matte (P99) is anti-glare, holding balanced sharpness and the same UV protection with reflections removed.
