Kanchenjunga Massif Alpenglow Standard Acrylic Wall Art

from $304.00

The Kanchenjunga massif catches the first light of the day, seen from Pelling in West Sikkim — its summits burning orange while the valleys below are still held in shadow. At 28,169 feet (8,586 m), Kanchenjunga is the third-highest mountain on earth and the highest in India, sacred to the people of Sikkim, who by long tradition leave its true summit untrodden.

Alpenglow lasts minutes, and only when the eastern horizon stays clear while cloud still hangs in the middle distance. Here it separates the image into three registers — the dark forested ridges, the band of cloud, and above it the lit snow.

Standard Acrylic — Acrylic suits this light: the orange on the summits gains intensity behind the panel while the dark ridges stay deep rather than muddy. Glossy (OP3) is the high-gloss option, maximum depth and vibrancy with premium UV filtering; matte (P99) is anti-glare, holding balanced sharpness and the same UV protection with reflections removed.

Also available in: TruLife Acrylic version · ChromaLuxe Metal version · Gallery Metal version · Fine Art Paper version
