Wind-carved ripples lead the eye toward Totem Pole and the Yei Bi Chei formations, standing sentinel over Monument Valley in the early morning light. This stretch of dune sits within the Navajo Tribal Park, accessible only with a Navajo guide, and the ripples reshape themselves with every wind — the pattern in this frame existed for a matter of hours.
In black and white it becomes a study in texture and line: the fine corrugation of the sand, the vertical thrust of the sandstone spires, the turbulence of the sky above. It's an image that rewards scale — the larger the print, the more the sand's detail draws you in.
A note on presentation: black-and-white landscape has traditionally lived on paper, where tone and texture carry the image rather than surface reflectance. This is that tradition; the three papers differ in how much texture and sheen they bring to it.

Canson Platine Fibre Rag offers a smoother lustre with deeper blacks; Moab Silver Metallic heightens contrast and lends the ripples a pearlescent shimmer. Prints are trimmed borderless at the stated size. 8x12 inches and smaller ship flat; larger sizes ship rolled, and are supplied unframed.
